Scenic Conservation in the Classroom and Beyond

Scenic America has partnered with Agents of Discovery to offer an exciting new way to learn about scenic conservation. Agents of Discovery is a mobile app that provides a dynamic, engaging, learning experience. With the app, users can play informative games in the form of “Missions” that challenge them to think and learn about the environment around them. Using real-world examples and even augmented reality capabilities, the missions take the form of challenging quizzes and mini-games that provide lessons about different aspects of scenic conservation.

The Scenic America – Agents of Discovery Missions are designed to be used at specific locations where students can see different elements of scenic beauty first-hand. We also offer a non-location-based mission that can be used anywhere.

Each Mission is a series of quizzes and educational challenges which teach users about scenic conservation. Completing all the challenges in a mission will complete the mission.

Scenic America currently offers four missions. “Scenic Conservation for Everyone” is a general-access mission that can be played anywhere. “Scenic Conservation at Point State Park” is specific to Point State Park in Pittsburgh. “Scenic Conservation in Bradenton” is set in Bradenton, Florida. Our newest mission, “Scenic Conservation in Washington, DC,” can be played on location in the nation’s capital.

What is Agents of Discovery?

Students will have an engaging and interactive learning experience as they use the app to complete challenges and missions that teach them about conserving scenic resources through real-world examples.

Getting Started

All these missions can be accessed using a mobile device which is iOS or Android compatible. To get started, go to the Agents of Discovery website here, or search for it on the App Store or Google Play.
