Our first annual #ScenicSWPA Photo Contest is now open to anyone over 18 in our 10-county area
Our region has beautiful scenery, and a lot of talented photographers. What’s more perfect than calling attention to our mission – to protect, enhance, and promote the scenic beauty, both natural and built, of southwestern Pennsylvania – than a photo contest that brings scenery and great photographers together?
That’s why we’re proud to announce our first annual Scenic SWPA Photo Contest. It’s through photos that we have a chance to step back and recognize how truly exceptional the place where we live is. We believe our region is one of the most scenic (and photogenic) places on earth. We look forward to you helping us prove it.
We’ll award winners in 5 categories, as well as a Grand Prize winner, and all winners will be invited to attend our Brews for Views fundraising event in August as our guests, where we will recognize their winning photos.
We have invited 5 of the region’s standout photographers, both professional and amateur, to be judges: Brad Berkstresser of Pittsburgh; Nick Garuccio of the Laurel Highlands, Clare Kaczmarek of Latrobe, Christine Montgomery of Pittsburgh, and Emmanuel Panagiotakis of Beaver. You can learn more about them here.
All photos should reflect scenic locations in Scenic Pittsburgh’s 10-county region, so from Allegheny, Armstrong, Butler, Beaver, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Washington, or Westmoreland counties.
To get a better idea of what we mean by a scenic location, take a look at our categories below. The contest opens at 12:01 a.m. April 15 and closes May 31, 2022, at midnight.
Please read the following Rules, Terms, and Conditions BEFORE submitting any photos.
